The company was founded in 2003, in Bree Street, Cape Town, South Africa – and after experiencing great success and growth over the following 3 years it moved to a larger facility in Milnerton, Cape Town. With its new improved work facilities, optimized logistics, sophisticated equipment and database, expanding customer base and 12 experienced and dedicated employees, DS Auto Electronics became a leader in the South African automotive electronics industry, and in ECU diagnostics, repairs and rebuilding. The company is dedicated to meeting the ever-increasing demand and complexity of the modern automotive electronics industry, and offering expert service to its customers.
In 2018, the company moved to Brisbane, Australia.
The technical team at the core of the Australian company includes the company owner and director Dimitri, and his son, Nasko, and is to be expanded further. Dimitri has a lifelong passion for electronics and motor vehicles, has been an entrepreneur for most of his life, and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. Nasko is a young qualified Electronics Engineer bringing in new skills, perspective and experience to match the relentless, growing complexity of modern automotive electronics.
DS Auto Electronics specializes in the repair and rebuild of automotive electronic control units. Our rebuild process not only repairs the failure of the unit, but also safeguards against other common failures the unit is known to suffer. All rebuilt units are covered by a 2 year guarantee. We also provide a broad range of programming services for ECUs.

The success of DS Auto Electronics can be mainly attributed to the sophisticated manner in which the vehicle is accurately simulated on our test benches. Our unique equipment simulates the input signals to the ECU, allowing the ECU to function on the testing bench as if it were running on the vehicle, and then automatically monitors its outputs.
